A pair of Federal grants totaling more than $400,000 will
help Lakehead University researchers investigate ways to preserve the Ojibwa language and improve education for teens in isolated aboriginal communities in Northern Ontario.
Ethel Gardner received $225,000 to work with Grand Council Treaty 3 educators and language technicians.
The second research project will examine ways to improve the aboriginal school curriculum.
