A Dryden Councilor is questioning the need of an Engineering Report for the painting of the Wabigoon River Bridge Steel Girders.
Last night, Gary Case was the only one to vote against spending $36,000 on Consulting Services.
Director of Engineering Brad Johns says its necessary given the environmental concerns because of the lead.
Johns adds they don’t have the time or resources to conduct internal services.
He notes the project wasn’t their first priority but it must be completed in a calendar year or funding will be withdrawn by the Province.
