The Liberal government says it’s willing to head back to the bargaining table to settle ongoing contract disputes with elementary teachers and maintenance and caretaking staff.
Deputy Premier Deb Matthews says they are just waiting for the unions to respond to their latest offer.
Matthews says they will resume talks right away once they receive an answer.
Meantime, a tentative deal has been reached between the provincial government and the French Language Teachers Association.
Terms of the contract haven’t been released and its pending ratification from both sides.
