A Manitoba-based company has been selected to move forward with the completion of the new Dryden Sewage Treatment Plant.
Staff picked Penn-Co Construction’s $22.1-million bid (under budget), which was slightly higher then North America Construction out of Morriston, Ontario.
Director of Public Works and Engineering Mike Louttit says they selected Penn-Co in the “best interests of the City”.
Louttit says references of North America Construction were mixed and that’s why they went with the second lowest bidder.
The facility is expected to be fully functional next November or December.
