We are less then a week away from the Municipal Election and CKDR is taking time this week to review the race for Mayor in several communities.
Today we turn to the Municipality of Machin.
Incumbent Garry Parkes says he’s made great strides in economic development in the community, pointing to the increased traffic at the Vermilion Bay Arena.
Parkes says he wants to continue on his campaign to open up cottage lots and obtaining a heli-pad.
Gordon Dingman says he has serious concerns about Municipal roads.
Dingman adds some of the spending by Council is out of control and he wants that corrected immediately.
Linda Anderson says her goal is to get small businesses up and running.
Anderson notes that area roads need to be fixed and cottage lots need to be opened up.
Dennis Peterson, Laurie Huffman, Paul Kelly, Tonya Slater, Gordon Griffiths, Lloyd Chandler, Joseph Ruete, John Wheeler, Ronald Kujansuu and David Marion are running for Council.
