Following one of the coldest June’s in recent memory, July was no better in the Dryden area.
Environment Canada Forecaster Brian Smith says the cold weather hung around for another month, but the rain seemed to ease up a bit.
Smith says the mean temperature was 18.3, while we received only 58mm of rain, 40 below average.
Smith blames a jet stream that settled in the Great Lakes area for the cooler temperatures.
However, he notes August should be warmer with temperatures in the mid-20 range.
