A coroner’s inquest has been called in the death of a miner at the
Musselwhite Mine in Pickle Lake.
Back in June 2004, Christopher White and another worker were
performing underground gas checks after a rock blast.
White fell about 12 to 15 metres onto rock.
The Ministry of Labour determined the workers were not using proper
safety procedures.
The inquest will begin January 10th.
