The Chiefs of Ontario are not meeting the needs and issues of Grand
Council Treaty #3 in the Northwest Region.
Treaty #3 has withdrawn its membership from the legal body that
represents all First Nations in the Province.
Spokesperson Adolphous Cameron says Grand Chief Arnold Gardner will now
handle all of their discussions with both levels of Government.
Treaty #3 wants the Governments to move
forward on initiatives aimed at aboriginal diabetes, maternal child
health, youth suicide prevention and health care.
