Corrections Officers Hoping To Reach Deal

It’s back to the bargaining table Friday for the Ontario Public Service Employees Union and the provincial government.
Both sides are trying to hammer out a deal for correctional workers in Ontario.
OPSEU President Warren Smokey Thomas says they need more staff so workers can take days off instead of working non stop overtime.
Thomas says there also needs to be improved training of staff in northern Ontario.
67% of OPSEU members turned down a three year contract last week.
