Correctional workers in Thunder Bay say the province is refusing to participate in talks for a new contract.
The union, which also represents probation and parole officers, says talks started in September.
But theres been no contract since last month.
Union president Len Mason says workplace safety is the main issue, not wages.
Mason says some correction workers have been assaulted on the job.
