A corridor has been dedicated to a couple who dedicated their lives to providing health services in the SIoux Lookout Area.
The Sam and Madeline Crane Walkway runs between the new hostel and the Meno ya Win Health Center.
It is used by clients staying in the hostel to easily access the hospital for appointments.
John Cutfeet is the Chair of the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority.
Cutfeet says Sam and Madeline were the connecting link to health care. so its an honour and privilege to name the connecting link in their honour.
The two started working at the Sioux Lookout Zone Hospital in 1949 and were hired to manage the Sioux Lookout Zone Hostel in 1972.
The corridor was completed in November 2011
