Cost Of Smokes Up Once Again

You now have to shell out more money to light up.

A price increase on a carton of cigarettes took effect Thursday.

Smokers are now being asked to pay $4 more.

The hike was initially announced in the 2017 budget.

The Canadian Cancer Society applauds the move, saying higher prices are the most effective strategy in reducing smoking, especially among young people.
