Costly Hunting Trip Near Atikokan

6-Southern Ontario men have been slapped with a $4,400 fine after a hunting trip just northeast of Atikokan.
The men pleaded guilty to illegally killing a bull moose and trying to
cover it up when approached by Ministry of Natural Resources Conservation
Officers.
The incident occurred last October on the Crooked Pine Road System.
The men have been banned from hunting for a year and their
firearms won’t be returned until the fine is paid.
