The Ontario Metis Aboriginal Association is hoping to raise awareness
of the opportunities available for women in the trades and technology
field with a major conference in Dryden.
The 2-day “Women in Non-Traditional Trades and Environmental Roles”
conference starts next Friday at the Dryden Training Centre.
A number of guest speakers will share their life experiences and
encourage females to take a chance on male-oriented jobs such as
construction.
The skilled trades conference will also feature hands-on training.
