DSSAB budget ready to go

Representitives from the Kenora District Services Board will be meeting on March 23rd to try and pass its 2006 budget.

The budget was rejected earlier this month because it called for a 2.8 percent increase.

Gerry O’Leary is the mayor of Sioux Narrows/Nestor Falls and says they are sticking to their guns and are demanding no increase in the budget.

N002 Q: …municipality. (18 secs.)

O’Leary says it doesn’t make sense to put services like land ambulence, long term care and Ontario Works on the backs of property owners.
