Cottagers stop Weyerhaeuser

Logging in the Minaki area will stop next week due to the actions of some Winnipeg cottage owners.
They successfully challenged Weyerhaeuser, saying the company failed to consult them on plans to clear cut in the kenora fores.
Weyerhaeuser’s proposed plan for the next 5 years would clear timber from almost 16,000 hectares in the area.
