It looks like the Barclay Fire Hall will stay open and Aaron Park won’t be transferred to the Province.
Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall confirmed those two items are the only ones that won’t be looked at following the release of the operational and service level review Tuesday night.
A suggestion to close the Fire Hall in November drew considerable backlash from area homeowners, firefighters and the public.
Council was cool on the idea of losing the Park after a record breaking year.
Aaron Park posted a $5,000 surplus this year.
Nuttall says Council is looking at all other options and stresses the work done by KPMG will result in a balanced budget.
The consulting firm says the final report doesn’t contain any major service cuts, but City departments may be feeling the pinch.
Nuttall says Council and staff will now work on drafting a final plan and hopes to have everything in place by late January or early February.
