It’s crowded on top of the High School Boys Hockey standings.
The Dryden Eagles, Beaver Brae Broncos, St. Thomas Aquinas Saints and Fort Frances Muskies are all tied for first with 3-1 records after Tuesday night’s play.
The Eagles scored nine goals for the third straight game in a 9-4 rout of Queen Elizabeth.
Kirk Markowski and Zack Lugli both scored twice for the Eagles, while Ryan Hron, Adam Getson, Joel Zieroth, Cam Zapitelli and Jarod Price added singles.
Blair Bresson, Parker MacRae, Shayne McKay and Andy Brunton replied for the Warriors.
The big upset was in Kenora where the shorthanded Beaver Brae Broncos stunned the previously undefeated Fort Frances Muskies 5-0.
The Saints beat Red Lake 4-1 at the Cochenour Arena.
