Dryden Council has voted to move forward with the design of a 2-storey Pavilion at the Sandy Beach Ball Diamonds.
The vote passed 6-0 Monday night in the final Council meeting before the Municipal Election.
Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says a volunteer group has already raised $100,000 for the project.
The group will now be required to raise an additional $94,000.
The project must be completed by the end of March due to financial obligations with the Federal and Provincial Government’s.
Krassilowsky says the Pavilion will benefit the community, with the potential of hosting major concerts and events.
