Councilor Calls for Clear Vehicle Use Policy

A Dryden Councilor is looking for clearer rules on the use of City vehicles by staff.
Mike Wood says current policies are cloudy and convoluted.
Wood says the policy should outline who has access to certain City vehicles and when they can use them.
He notes he’s concerned about potential liability issues.
There is currently no clear-cut policy in place on hours of use and eligibility, basically leaving the responsibility up to Department Managers.
Staff have indicated they will review current policies.
