A Kenora judge will decide sometime early in the new year on the guilt or innocence of Helen Proulx.
The 39-year-old Grassy Narrows resident was in court on a charge of assaulting a police officer.
Proulx was shot twice on June 7th in downtown Kenora after brandishing a knife.
Eyewitness testimony in court painted a number of different scenarios.
Some people said Proulx only had a butter knife in her hand, while others said a steak knife or a paring knife.
There was also some disagreement on what Proulx was doing just prior to being shot.
Some witnesses suggested she was walking quickly towards the police officer and stabbing at her.
Other said Proulx was intoxicated and staggering and was just trying to keep the knife away from the police officer.
Court Case Concludes in Kenora
