The Canada Border Services Agency says Fort Frances customs officers were forced to turn back 8-Americans last month.
Statistics released show that 50,000 people passed through the border, 20 of whom were found to have various criminal offences.
Officers also seized a boat, motor and trailer as well as a vehicle from Canadian residents who attempted to undervalue their purchases.
In both cases, the owners were forced to pay hefty fines to get their property back.
