A court challenge has been launched against a Canada Post decision to eliminate door-to-door mail delivery.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers, along with groups representing seniors and the disabled, are taking the case to Federal Court in attempts to keep the service.
Canada Post announced last year plans to replace the service with community mail boxes in urban areas, including Dryden and other northern communities.
In a statement, Canada Post says it’s confident its plan will withstand any and all legal challenges.
