COVID Outbreak In Kasabonika Lake

A State of Emergency has been declare in Kasabonika Lake First Nation.

It’s due to a COVID outbreak with 138 active cases in the far north community.

Five people have had to be transported to hospital and there has been three virus-related deaths in the past week.

Eight Canadian Rangers have been sent to the community to help out with logistical tasks.
