CP Holiday Train Brings Hope For Those In Need In Dryden

Kids of all ages packed the CP Rail Yards in Dryden Monday for the annual stop of the Holiday Train.

Those in attendance were treated to some amazing musical entertainment from country legend Terri Clark as well as Kelly Prescott and fiddler Sierra Noble.

Santa Claus also took time to make an appearance.

However, the big winner was the local Food Bank and Manager Keith Grant was grateful for everyone’s support.

Grant says it was one of the biggest turn-out’s he has seen.

Grant joined Councillor Michelle Price to accept a $6,000 donation from CP Rail.

The money, along with the countless number of donations from local residents, will help more than 650 individuals in need in the Dryden area.

Grant notes “they are a big food bank in a small community” and he’s thankful for the support of everyone.

He adds “No gift is too small!”, and food items will be accepted at the Food Bank at any time.

Grant says they are open between 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
