It’s a popular Yuletide tradition and the day has finally arrived for the arrival of the CP Holiday Train.
The festive locomotive will roll into Ignace and Dryden Monday morning and Vermilion Bay and Kenora Monday afternoon.
You are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or make a monetary donation in support of local Food Banks.
Salem Woodrow says this years entertainment includes country star Terri Clark, Kelly Prescott and fiddler Sierra Noble.
Woodrow says this is the 20th year of the popular initiative.
She is encouraging people to take plenty of pictures and enter their ‘Capture the Spirit’ Photo Contest on the Holiday Train Facebook page.
Woodrow says this is a grassroots program that brings communities together.
She notes since 1999, the CP Holiday Train has raised more than $14.5-million and 4.3-million pounds of food.

Vermilion Bay: 1:00pm
