Crazy Events Surround Terry Fox Run

Schools across the District rallied behind the Terry Fox Run Friday.
Thousands of students hit the streets to raise money for cancer
research.
Riverview School was among the facilities that did something extra
and Principal Suzanne Bastable says her students raised well over
$5,000.
And normally it would be odd to see an educator parading around school
grounds with a goat, but Friday it seemed quite normal.
Bastable teamed up with ‘Maggie the Goat’, after her students met a challenge to raise the money as part of the Terry Fox Run.
Other crazy acts at Riverview, teachers have had ice water as well as
syrup and feathers dumped on their heads, another instructor shaved his head
and one teacher dressed up in a giant lion costume for a day.
Elsewhere, staff at Pinewood kissed fish and took pies in the face,
while the Principal at New Prospect was duct taped to the gym wall.
