Crime Spree comes to an end

Two people have been arrested in connection to a crime spree that started out in British Columbia and ended in northwestern Ontario.

Over the past week, a stolen Hummer has been seen in a number of provincial parks where vehicle break-ins have been reported.

Breaks-in have taken place in Rushing River, Quetico and Kakebeka falls over the past couple of days.

The O.P.P. discovered the Hummer at a motel near Thunder Bay this week and a 32 year old man from Waterloo and a 23 year old woman were arrested.

A search of the motel room and the Hummer turned up a large quantity of stolen goods.

The couple have been charged with a number of offenses,
including possession of stolen property obtained by crime over five thousand dollars, theft from a motor vehicle and possession and use of a stolen credit card.
