Canadian Blood Services is putting out an urgent call to donors, stressing it needs more than 22,000 donations before August 26th.
That’s because the need for blood is among its highest before the Labour Day weekend due to vacations and back-to-school preparations.
The CBS says type O-negative blood is especially in demand because it is compatible with all other blood types.
The agency no long holds mobile clinics in northwestern Ontario, so the closest place to go is in Winnipeg.
