The Cross Lake Islanders were the big winners of the 27th Annual North American First Nations Tournament of Champions in Kenora on the weekend.
The Islanders cruised to a 6-1 win over Norway House in the ‘A’ side final.
For the win, they collected a cheque for $15,000.
In the Oldtimers final, it was Whitefish Bay over the Pas 4-3.
