The Canadian Union of Public Employees is accusing the Liberal government of restricting the decisions of Hydro One’s board of directors in advance of the proposed sell-off of the utility.
In a letter to the Ontario Securities Commission written by a legal firm on behalf of CUPE, it says the government recently removed all rights and powers of the board.
The union is asking the commission to re-instate all of the boards rights and its obligation to oversee and comment on the sell-off.
