Curlers Need to ‘Hurry Hard’ to Raise $17,000

It took some last minute negotiating but an agreement has been reached
to keep curling at Eagles Landing.
The deal between the Dryden District Curling Club and Rommel was signed
Tuesday night at a special meeting.
The Club must now come up with $17,000 to purchase a $34,000 condensor by August 1st,
or else curlers may not leave the hack.
The Club is asking its 200-plus members for a $100 donation or
a forgiveable load and also plan to approach the City for support.
56-teams have expressed an interest in curling this year.
