The Director of Disaster Management for the Canadian Red Cross says emergency officials in the area shouldn’t forget about “customer service.”
Mike Morton addressed delegates attending the Northwest Response Forum in Dryden today and he says disaster victims need to be offered the highest level of service.
Morton says a good experience will help victims get back on their feet and will leave others with a positive impression on the emergency service.
Morton notes emergency officials continue to look at ways to improve services, especially through the use of new technology.
He says victims should be able to speak with one person and have their needs assessed.
Morton notes it’s then that they can be connected to all city, government and relief services.
