Airports in Dryden, Red Lake and Sioux Lookout have been forced out of offering customs service.
Dryden Airport Manager George Friesen says the move was spurred by sudden changes requiring the doubling of agents.
Friesen says costs have gone up in excess of 100% and notes keeping customs would have been passed along to those who fly-in from the States.
He notes the timing is bad but notes there hands are tied because its so cost prohibitive.
Kenora and Fort Frances are now the only Regional Airports currently offering customs, although Kenora is on a seasonal basis.
Friesen says the cost to offer it on a seasonal basis is still not worth it.
Dryden has had customs service in place for commercial and recreational users since 1995.
