There is outrage on social media following the discovery of significant damage at the Amesdale Cemetery.
“Shameful” “Despicable”, “Disgusting”, “Disrespectful” and “Sad” are some of the words folks on Facebook are using after reports of someone tearing up the cemetery with a 4×4 truck on Saturday night.
It was posted that there’s a gate protecting the grounds but it wasn’t locked.
One man voicing his anger stressed “there’s a list of about 70 people that has taken this act of stupidity as a personal assault on the families that have loved ones buried there”.
He is urging the culprit to take responsibility and surrender to police.
