The Ministry of Natural Resources is taking stronger
measures to protect the province’s wolf population.
Jolanta Kowalski is with the MNR and says starting in
September anyone wanting to kill a wolf will have to buy a
special seal, and a small game licence.

The new licence regulations will not effect trappers, and
those people who want to protect their property from
wildlife.
There will also be a closed wolf season in Northern and
central ontario from April 1st, to September 14th.
