One person faces numerous charges following a police pursuit through Fort Frances.
Sunday’s event started when OPP observed a young driver not wearing a seatbelt and they attempted to pull over the driver.
OPP say the youth refused to stop and led 2-police cruisers to a dead end where the vehicle turned around and rammed one of the cruisers at a high speed.
An officer was forced to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
A short time later, another police vehicle was struck before officers were able to partially stop the car.
As officers attempted to remove the driver and 2-passengers, the driver tried to drive away, dragging 2-officers a short distance before the vehicle was stopped again.
The incident ended with a brief foot chase.
OPP say one young person faces 3-counts of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, 2-counts of mischief under $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police.
Additional charges are pending.
