Darryl Skinner Leaving Dryden Council

Dryden Council will soon have an empty seat at the table.

First time Councillor Darryl Skinner has advised staff and Council that he will step down effective July 19th.

Chief Administrative Officer Ernie Remillard says Skinner’s dedication to Dryden, his business cleverness and expertise and his support to Staff and Council will be missed.

Remillard says on Monday night, Council will be provided with options of replacing this opening by appointment or by-election.

In a letter to Mayor and Council, Skinner says his decision was based on time commitments with a new personal venture, noting the choice was made for the best interests of his family.

Skinner states he will still have a couple of issues on the table that he would like to see resolved before he leaves.

He’s thanking Dryden residents for giving him the fantastic opportunity to serve the community, stressing he believes Dryden is in a much better position than just a couple of years ago.
