It wasn’t a promising start to the Constitutional Firearms challenge
launched by Dryden area resident Bruce Montague in Kenora Superior Court.
The session started 2-hours late Monday afternoon and when proceedings
finally got underway, the Crown Attorney spent most of the time questioning
the qualifications of the 2-expert witnesses that are supposed to testify
for the defense.
A total of 4-days have been set aside for the hearings.
Montague is challenging the consitutionality of the Federal Firearms
Act.
He faces 53-charges for failing to register any of the weapons that
he owns.
