2006 Census

The Town of Red Lake experienced the highest population growth among major community’s
in the Kenora District according to the 2006 census.
The population of Red Lake was 4,526, an increase of 6.9% over
the past 5-years.
Ear Falls, Pickle Lake and Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls also grew in
size.
The population in Dryden in 2006 was 8,195, a loss of only 3 people
from the 2001 census.
Sioux Lookout experienced a 2.9% loss, Kenora’s population
dropped 4.2%, Machin saw a decrease of 14.4% and Ignace
recorded a drop of 16.3%.
