Another push is being made for the City of Dryden to hire an Economic Development Manager.
Dryden Development Corporation Officer Manager Nicole Gale made the request Monday night.
Gale says an extra body is needed to meet economic development and diversification objectives.
The DDC notes they are looking for some clear direction from Council to see what role they play in the future direction of the community.
The organization is asking the City to support it as a separate municipal corporation managed through a governance board of directors.
They are also asking the City to provide human resource and financial support services.
Councillor Ken Moss says the DDC is struggling to understand its role and needs some direction from Council.
He adds Gale is doing the work of three individuals.
