The Chair of the Dryden Development Corporation says you’re starting to see a lot of things happening in northwestern Ontario again and there’s a lot of activity going on.
Ernie Remillard suggests the situation in Dryden is the same and exciting times are ahead.
Remillard provided an update to Council Monday night and says there’s been a lot of interest lately.
Remillard says they are expecting at least three to five land sales within the next 12-months.
The industries that are interested are in the power and manufacturing sectors.
He says the DDC is starting to receive more calls from interested investors noting the resource sector across the region is gathering a lot of attention.
Remillard says from an investor perspective, there’s a lot of competition.
Therefore, it’s important that the City is ready for anything, including having the proper infrastructure in place.
Remillard says Dryden must have water and sewer readily available.
