Deal Approved for Bombardier Employees

More than 330 Bombardier employees in Thunder Bay have overwhelmingly approved a new 3-year contract.
Rejection could have meant an immediate strike as Bombardier works to fill a 230-car subway contract for the Toronto Transit Commission.
The company also has a $44-million contract for 17 bi-level commuter cars for Minneapolis-St. Paul.
The C-A-W says 96% of the general membership and 89% of the skilled workers approved the deal.
