Dryden is looking at introducing a revamped Community Adjustment Program to deal with the latest round of layoffs at the Domtar Mill.
City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says they participated in the program from 2003 to 2005 with the intent of setting up programs for effected employees as well as creating a business friendly environment.
Hoogenboom says CAP will put the City in a better position to access Provincial and Federal funding for economic initiatives.
Council has agreed its essential to move forward with CAP, although the framework hasn’t been decided on.
