Provincial Police are investigating the death of a 72-year-old woman from the Shoal Lake #39 First Nation.
The investigation began last Friday when the Treaty Three Police requested assistance with a suspicious death investigation.
A post-mortem exam was conducted this week in Toronto, but the cause of death has not been released.
The victim has been identified as Betty Ann Cup.
The OPP’s Northwest Crime Unit, the Forensic Identification Unit and the OPP’s Criminal Investigations Branch have been called in to lead the investigation.
