Public School Board Not Concerned With Legal Pot

The Director of Education for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says it’s business as usual at area schools with the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Sean Monteith says a vast majority of their students aren’t of legal age and notes pot won’t be allowed to be smoked on school property.

Monteith isn’t anticipating any change or problems at their schools.

He says the use of pot, just like alcohol, on school property or during school excursions, isn’t acceptable.
