Ontario Health Minister Eric Hoskins says they will cover any planning and equipment costs hospitals incur in dealing with the Ebola virus.
Hoskins says cost is not a factor when it comes to the health and safety of Ontario residents, especially front-line health care workers.
He notes they are working with hospitals and emergency service agencies to ensure the deadly disease doesn’t spread.
Hoskins adds he has set up a special minister’s panel made up of health care and front-line workers to deal with any outbreak.
However, the Conservative government is hammering the Liberals on its plan to deal with a potential outbreak.
MPP Bill Walker says the government is cash-strapped and he questions how they will pay for precautionary measures.
Walker says the Liberals are cutting nursing positions but still paying for Ebola outbreak measures.
