The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is expressing its thanks
to emergency personnel and hospital staff after a scary incident last night.
Paramedics, Dryden Police and Fire Personnel were called to a Thunder
Lake home after a deck collapsed, throwing a large group of people several
feet to the ground.
School Board staff, Administration and Principals from across the
region were there for an annual meeting and barbeque evening when the incident occured.
A Board official says emergency crews were quick to respond and helped
the injured right away.
16-people were transported to hospital with various injuries.
Dryden Police and the Fire Service are investigating the incident.
