The provincial government and Deer Lake First Nation have drafted a community based land use plan.
The strategy provides direction on the opportunities available for more than 400,000 hectares of land in the Far North.
The draft plan identifies opportunities for mineral exploration and development, infrastructure, tourism and renewable energy.
It also proposes dedicated protected areas.
