Deja Vu For The Dryden Ice Dogs

For the second straight night the Dryden Ice Dogs dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the first place Wisconsin Wilderness in Spooner Saturday night. Wisconsin opened the scoring in the first and held on to that lead until the dying minutes of the third when Tom Kuhn scored with the goalie pulled. This time the Wildernes waited until the last 30 seconds of the extra periods to win the game. Ian Perrier faced 38 shots in the loss. In other SIJHL action the Thunder Bay North Stars scored a 7-3 win over the Sioux Lookout Flyers in Sioux Lookout. Casey Mertens, Jacob Brown and Brendan Wertanen scored for the hometown Flyers. Dryden will wrap up their final regular season trip to the US with a game against the last place Duluth Clydesdales at 4:00 PM Sunday in Duluth.
